A BIG thank you to everyone who got involved in NCDW 2010
We would like to thank everyone who got involved in the NCDW 2010 campaign. And how you got involved! Some of you hosted a whole week of different activities, some of you had small events, some large, and so many of you were imaginative and innovative in how you met your audience needs. All of your hard work is making a difference! Over two million Australians of all ages and career stages attended the National Career Development Week careers events held between July 2009 and June 2010 across Australia hosted by hundreds of organisations, both large and small - in communities, schools, TAFE, university, industry, small business, government departments and a wide range of other organisations. Many of you are already planning your NCDW 2011 celebration week events. Through NCDW activities, significant national benefits are being achieved because of increased awareness of the role of career management skills in education and training choices, employability, career satisfaction and job sustainability for all Australians. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

A BIG thank you to our NCDW partners and supporters
NCDW would like to thank our fantastic NCDW partners and supporters who supported the NCDW 2010 campaign, including Defence Force Recruiting, Network Ten, CareerOne, The National Careers and Employment Expo, and the Multi Channel Network (Foxtel and Austar).

NCDW Campaign News
We've had an amazing response to the NCDW evaluation survey sent to all registered event organisers. The number of respondents and the quality of responses was truly impressive, showing us that so many of you are invested in the NCDW campaign continuing to build in momentum and quality of events year upon year, thereby equipping more Australians with the skills to successfully manage their own future. Many of you have already begun planning your NCDW activities for the year ahead - remember to register your events taking place throughout the year. All of the feedback we have received from the surveys and your regular emails to the NCDW team will be taken into account in our planning for the national NCDW 2011 campaign activities, NCDW resources, and other NCDW support. Don't forget to check out your NCDW event stories and photos that continue to be added to the website. Or check out the latest NCDW Campaign News Blog, Careers in the News, Spotlight Events, and more.

NCDW 2010 competition winners: where did you fly the NCDW flag?
In 2010 we invited you to show us how innovative you are in displaying your NCDW flags, posters or other NCDW merchandise and how you celebrated your event(s) drawing attention to its messages using the NCDW resources. We've loved receiving all your great photos now up on the website. We're delighted to announce that 'Learning Enriches Life' organised for the community of the Campbelltown local government area by Housing NSW and 'Celebration of Careers' at Mount Gambier High School will each be receiving a special gift for their workplace to share with their team as a reward for their especially imaginative use of the NCDW branding to promote the career development messages of their event.

NCDW 2010 competition winners: where did you see or hear our NCDW CSAs?
Thank you for your many responses telling us where you saw or heard our NCDW community service announcements (CSAs) on television and radio across Australia and how much you were impressed by them. We're delighted to announce that Greg Jordan (QLD) and Leigh Mabin (NSW), who were the first two to let us know they saw or heard our NCDW CSAs, have been selected to each receive a movie gift card.

A special thank you to the Australian Government for funding NCDW 2011 (16 to 22 May 2011)
In case you didn't pick up on the hint in the earlier sections of this Newsletter - it's on again in 2011! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that NCDW will again be funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). We thank them wholeheartedly for their support. With your help, we look forward to building on the momentum and impact of current NCDW initiatives, including providing national, consistent, quality resources for use across all sectors and regions within Australia.

NCDW 2011 celebration week will take place from 16 to 22 May 2011.
