This Week is National Career Development Week!

It's here! National Career Development Week celebrations across Australia this week

The NCDW Team (Karen, Caroline and Bob) wish you the very best for National Career Development Week (NCDW) 2010.

Today's tally - 669 registered events (many of these registrations are for a week of activities).

For event organisers - we hope you have very successful activities and don't forget to use the NCDW resources on the website www.ncdw.com.au

For event visitors - don't forget to search "Find an Event" on the website to see if there is an event near you to attend.  If you attend an event - send us an email and tell us all about it to contact_team@ncdw.com.au.

For everyone - during National Career Development Week, many thousands of Australians of all ages and career stages will attend events that will assist them to develop the skills to manage their lives, learning and work. This week all Australians should take a few minutes to think about their career - their life, learning and work. Is it time to:

• Follow your dream?
• Look for a new career?
• Do a course?

The NCDW website has lots of resources to help you take those first steps. Whatever you do this week - it is a week full of opportunities to take control of your future.

Some reminders for event organisers:

• Take lots of photographs as a reminder of your fantastic event;
• Send your photographs to local media with a story about your event and the importance of career development;
• Send a copy of your photos, a story about your event and any media coverage to us at contact_team@ncdw.com.au (we love to see what you are doing);
• Try to enjoy your events.

Winner of the community flags competition 

The winner of the community flags competition is - Marianne Hupalo (Committee member: Live Work Train in our region, Careers Counsellor/VET Coordinator, Trinity Catholic College, Goulburn NSW) - we look forward to seeing the pictures of the flags flying proudly in Goulburn.
