The Get the life you love Campaign (including National Career Development Week) provides the encouragement, resources and support to assist anyone to organise a careers event or activity in their school, organisation or community. Through using the resources available on the website anyone, whether a qualified careers practitioner or not, can deliver career development information, at their event or activity, that has been developed by the Career Industry Council of Australia.

The Get the life you love Campaign (including National Career Development Week) is a key initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia and is funded by the Federal Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). The Campaign, through hundreds of careers events run throughout the year, encourages all Australians to actively engage in career development and develop the skills to manage their careers, learning, work and lives in order to get the life they love.

Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) President Bernadette Gigliotti says, "We all have unique experiences and skills to offer and can all take steps to have a career and a life that suits us better. When career change is necessary - there are things we can do. Many people simply don't know where to start - the Get the life you love Campaign (including National Career Development Week) resources can get you started, whatever your age or career stage. Setting a new direction that matches your values, interests and lifestyle can turn gloom into an exciting journey."

The 2012 National Career Development Week Campaign celebration week is from 14 - 20 May 2012. However activities at any time of the year can be registered on the website and will receive the Event Kit to assist people to organise their events.
